Saturday, January 31, 2015: Red-tailed hawk photographed at Centennial Park.

The Red-tailed hawk had caught a squirrel and was dining on it while perched on a large tree limb just a few feet from the path that loops around the lake.

I'd like to thank Amy and Lee who kindly pointed-out the approximate location of the hawk that they had spotted just several minutes earlier during their walk around the lake.

Hey, you found it! Great shots! Nice talking to you at the park. Sorry I called it a falcon...I don't know my birds.
